About Brad

Experience that brings clarity to college admission.

For more than 20 years, I have worked as a Chief Enrollment Officer, leading college admission and enrollment strategy and making the kinds of decisions students and families are trying to understand during the college search.

Over the course of my career, I have evaluated tens of thousands of college applications and have made the final admission decision on many of those students. I understand what admission committees look for, how applications are evaluated, what separates strong applicants, and how institutional priorities can influence decisions.

I have also worked extensively with high-achieving students competing for selective scholarships, giving me firsthand experience with the additional level of evaluation that occurs when colleges are deciding not only whom to admit, but which students will receive their most competitive awards.

Most recently, I have worked as a consultant to colleges and universities, helping institutions develop their own enrollment, recruitment, communication, and admission strategies. That work provides another perspective that is especially valuable to families: an understanding of how colleges are thinking about prospective students before an application is ever submitted.

4 College Counseling brings those perspectives together for one purpose: helping students and parents better understand how college admission actually works so they can make informed, knowledgeable decisions throughout the process.
